Chuck Williams Gives up on the Party
Chuck Williams Gives up on the Party
Metro Pulse
Tuesday, December 29, 2009
Chuck Williams is no longer seeking the Democratic party’s nomination for the state senate’s 7th District. Williams has left the party and is now running as an independent. But unlike some recent party defections, this one isn’t ideological. It’s personal.
Williams has had a tough time getting people, including Democrats, to take him seriously as a candidate. However, the final straw came when the state’s Democratic Party chairman, Chip Forrester, said on the Hubert Smith Radio Show on WUTK that there was only one Democratic candidate, Randy Walker, running for the seat. This slip-up occurred the day after Forrester met Williams at the Dems’ monthly meeting at Shoney’s on Western Avenue.
Whoops.

Urban Community Forgotten AGAIN!!!!
The Knox County School System is ready to spend millions to purchase land and build a NEW school on the southside where the children will HAVE to be bussed in, however, once again Rules High School sits abandoned and forgotten. This school can be rehabbed, bought up to code, reopened and revitalize the Western Heights, Lonsdale community. People WAKE UP, if you don't show that you care about your community, the elected officials will surely not care!

Into the lions den
After throwing down the gauntlet in my last post, one top Democrat candidate picked it up in less then an hour. Invites have been issued to all the other top Democrat candidates.I will let you know who the fearless few are in a few days after all have been given a chance to respond.
My response was:
I had death in the family that I was dealing with when you "threw down the gauntlet" but I am here now and after this election cycle is over lets you and I worry about OUR race in the Senate 7th District! I am ready when you are.Chuck WilliamsCandidate for State Senate!Chuck Williams 08.21.09 - 8:35 pm
I AWAIT YOUR REPLY!!!!
